Built forContractors.

Baseland Recycling was built to solve a real problem — finding affordable, locally-sourced recycled aggregate that meets spec and comes with documentation.

Our Story

Closing the Loop on C&D Waste.

Colorado Springs generates thousands of tons of concrete and asphalt demolition debris every year. Most of it ends up in landfills. We built Baseland Recycling to change that — by processing that material back into usable aggregate products that compete directly with virgin quarry material on price.

We operate a full-service C&D recycling facility at our Sterling Ranch Road yard, with an on-site crusher, screening equipment, and a certified scale. Every load in gets weighed. Every load out gets a weight ticket. No guessing, no estimating.

Our product line is built around what the local construction market actually needs: Class 6 road base that meets CDOT spec, RAP for temporary surfaces and base layers, screened rock for drainage and erosion control, and fill materials that give contractors an economical option for volume requirements.

We also make it easy to drop off C&D material. Clean concrete and asphalt are accepted at no charge — because diverting that material from the landfill is the whole point.

🛒 Products & Pricing
What products do you sell?
We sell five recycled aggregate products, all processed on-site:

Class 6 Concrete Base — $11.50/ton — CDOT spec road base from recycled concrete
RAP (Recycled Asphalt Pavement) — $11.50/ton — self-binding, ideal for driveways and access roads
1.5” Screened Concrete Rock — $17.50/ton — drainage, erosion control, landscaping
Processed Fill Dirt — $6.00/ton — general backfill and grading
Screened Topsoil — $15.00/ton — landscaping and revegetation
Do you deliver?
No. Pickup only. All material is sold from our yard at 7690 Sterling Ranch Road, Colorado Springs. You bring your truck, we load you on the scale, and you haul it yourself. We do not offer delivery service.
How is material priced — by the ton or by the yard?
All pricing is by the ton, based on certified scale weight. Every truck crosses our on-site certified scale and receives a printed weight ticket. There are no estimates or bucket counts — you pay for exactly what you haul.
Do you have sieve analysis reports for your products?
Yes. Current sieve analysis reports are available for Class 6 Concrete Base, RAP, and 1.5” Screened Concrete Rock. Reports are updated each time a new batch is processed. Download them on the Products page.
Does your Class 6 meet CDOT specification?
Yes. Our recycled Class 6 Concrete Base is processed to meet CDOT Class 6 road base specification. Sieve analysis documentation is available for projects requiring materials certification. Contact the scale house if you need a specific lot report.
How do I estimate how many tons I need?
Use the Materials Calculator on our site — enter your length, width, and depth and it calculates estimated tons and material cost. For large or complex projects, call the scale house at 719-424-9797 and we can help you estimate.
⚖️ Scale House
What are your hours?
Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 7:00 AM – Noon
Sunday: Closed

Scale house is staffed during all operating hours. Call ahead if you have a large or unusual load: 719-424-9797.
How does the scale work?
Our on-site certified scale weighs your truck. For account customers with pre-registered trucks, we verify your tare weight (empty truck weight) on the scale at least once per day that truck hauls — then calculate your net load weight automatically. Walk-in customers without a trade account will be weighed in (empty) and out (loaded) to determine the net weight of material hauled.
What is a tare weight and why does it matter?
Your tare weight is the empty weight of your truck. Net load weight = gross weight (loaded) minus tare weight. For trade account customers, we pre-enter your truck information in our ScaleIt system — we look up and verify your tare weight on the scale at least once each day that truck hauls. This eliminates the need for a separate empty weigh-in on every subsequent load that day, speeding up your turnaround time at the scale house.
Do I get a weight ticket?
Yes — a printed weight ticket is issued on every transaction. The ticket shows gross weight, tare weight, net load weight, material type, date, and your account information. Trade account customers have full load history accessible for job costing and documentation.
Where are you located?
7690 Sterling Ranch Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80908. See the Location page for a map and full contact details.
🚛 C&D Drop-Off
What C&D materials do you accept?
Accepted at no charge: Clean concrete (no rebar), clean asphalt.

Accepted with tipping fee: Concrete with rebar — $40 single axle, $50 tandem, $60 end or side dump.

Call first: Loads with dirt, mud, or mixed debris. We can often help — but we need to assess it before you make the trip.

See the full Drop-Off page for complete details.
Why is clean concrete free to drop off?
Clean concrete is the raw material we process into our recycled aggregate products. When you drop it off, you’re supplying our feed stock — so we don’t charge a tipping fee. That’s also why keeping it clean matters: rebar, dirt, and contaminants increase our processing cost, which is why those loads carry a fee.
What do you NOT accept?
We do not accept hazardous material, asbestos-containing material, treated or painted wood, household waste, green waste, sewage, or any material requiring special handling or regulatory disposal. If you’re unsure, call the scale house before you make the trip: 719-424-9797.
Do I need to call ahead before dropping off?
For clean concrete and asphalt loads, no — just come during scale house hours. For mixed, contaminated, or unusual loads, call ahead: 719-424-9797. We’d rather talk it through before you drive across town with a load we can’t take.
📋 Trade Accounts
What are the benefits of a trade account?
  • Your trucks are pre-registered in ScaleIt — faster scale house service
  • Tare weights on file — we verify once per day, no separate empty weigh-ins on subsequent loads
  • Bi-monthly consolidated invoicing on Net 15 terms — one bill for all loads
  • No cash or card needed on-site for your drivers
  • Full load history for job costing and documentation
How does the tare weight process work for account customers?
When you register your trucks on the trade account application, we enter your truck information (plate, type, driver) into ScaleIt. We then look up or verify your tare weight — we weigh each registered truck empty at least once per day that truck hauls. On subsequent loads the same day, we use the verified tare on file. This means your driver doesn’t need to cross the scale empty before every load — just pull in loaded and we calculate net weight from the verified tare.
How do I apply for a trade account?
Fill out the online application. It captures your company info, billing details, truck fleet registration, and credit references. We review and respond within one business day.
Is there a cost to open a trade account?
No application or setup fee. You pay for material at the standard per-ton rate. Invoicing is bi-monthly on Net 15 terms.
